Varso Tower (formerly known as Chmielna Business Park) is going to be 310 meters tall. The main portion of the building is going to be 230 meters tall, up to the roof level, with additional 80-meters tall spire. This means that the building is going to be higher than the Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science, or even than The Shard of London, which, at the moment, remains the tallest building in the European Union.
The plot is going to accommodate 3 buildings in total – 310, 90 and 81 meters tall respectively. The whole complex is to take on a shape which would still provide some light for the housing estates located on the other side of Chmielna street.
The lower buildings will form a frontage, along the Chmielna street. Inside, within the total area of 140 thousand square meters, offices and commercial premises would be located. Under the building, a three-level underground car park is to be arranged. The investment will also lead to a creation of a viewing terrace at the height of 230 meters, accessible also to the tourists, restaurant at the top, and a glazed courtyard on the ground floor. The investment also assumes that the western section of Chmielna will be reconstructed. Road surface is to undergo major restoration works, and bushes and trees are going to be planted there.
Around the Varso buildings, new lawns, flower pots and benches are all going to be arranged. The green color will encourage the visitors to take a rest within the internal communication routes and on the rooftops of the lower structures of the complex. Chmielna street will have a new, restored face given to it, with adequately modern infrastructure.
The construction works have been initiated already.
